Líneas de investigación:  las interacciones entre las comunidades indígenas y la ecología de la selva del este de Perú, especialmente a lo largo del Urubamba y Ucayali, y en el oeste de Brasil. Mi trabajo en la selva peruana comenzó con un enfrentamiento accidental en 1985 con el desplazamiento de los nahuas de las cabeceras de los ríos Mishagua y Manu debido a la invasión de madereros y sismólogos Shell. Después de escribir informes sobre este para Survival International y otros, mi interés se dirigió a la supervivencia cultural de los grupos indígenas en general, y con un estudio del chamanismo. También hice la investigación sobre las influencias históricas y prehistóricas del mito amazónico, la cosmología y motivos sobre civilizaciones peruanas costeras y andinas. Últimamente he trabajado en la ecología humana de los diferentes grupos sociales de la Amazonia, en los modos sostenibles de interacción entre los grupos nativos y la ecología selva tropical, y en las lecciones que pueden extraerse de este último por otros. Recientemente pasé cinco meses de la región fronteriza del oeste de Amazonas, Brasil, en el río Javari y Curacao.

Biografía

Tim Cloudsley nació Cambridge, Inglaterra. Es sociologo, escritor y poeta. Trabajó como profesor en la Escuela de Idiomas, de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, Bucaramanga en el ámbito de estudios culturales y literatura.
